Two Meatballs In The Italian Kitchen $21 Because two heads are better than one. Though New York chef/restaurateur Pino Luongo and chef Mark Strausman have been good friends and successful restaurant partners for years, they’ve spent decades arguing the merits of everything from ingredients to techniques and presentation, always with the goal of getting the very best out of Italy’s amazing cuisine. Two Meatballs in the Italian Kitchen is the fruit of that debate. A native of Florence, Italy, Luongo was grounded in Tuscan culinary restraint. Strausman, the product of a polyglot New York City neighborhood that freely mixed Eastern European traditions with Italian ones, developed a culinary taste for improvisation over authenticity. When each decided to write a cookbook about simple Italian food they love, they began to argue about whose book would be better. The solution: two authors, two stories, two sets of recipes, all in one book. There’s no argument about who wins the competition—it’s the reader of Two Meatballs, hands down. Here are 150 delicious, simple, honest recipes representing the best of Italian and Italian-American home cooking from not one master but two. |

kids recipes dinner

Recipes for a dinner outside?
I'll use a propane grill. There will be children in attendance, then revenue kid friendly must.I one would enjoy the beef and seafood.Dessert Recipes should be easy and may require an air oven.No means to cook Outside all summer.Anyone providing the best recipes for appetizers, main course and dessert will get 10 points. Thanks!
Do not ask for a lot of miserable 10 points! But here's my 2 cents: vegetables will cook very well in a grill basket, like shrimp and cutting pieces of beef. Grilled salmon on a plank of alder is great. Teriyaki Marinade is very popular with children. Try it on chicken drumsticks. POTATOS take a long time, unless you slice them. You can roast of French fries in this grill basket, or the potato slices. Dessert: fried pies made with canned fruit filling into cookie dough. Use some Pam in the ol 'grill basket. popcorn is classic, soaked in water and roast in the ball on a slow fire. salads, naturally. Ice cream, of course. There is much you can do with packets of leaves. Wrap the meat, potatoes soil and vegetables in a wrapper with seasonings (such as onion soup dry mix) and let the steam up. You can roast this way. It takes some time, though, over low heat. Put rice and spicy Italian diced tomatoes, onions, celery, olives in a pack with foil and make Spanish rice. Not too much rice should soak the juice. Remember iced tea solar, although the secret is that it is time, not the sun, which brews the tea!

The Crabby Cook: Recipes and Rants $10.84 Introducing a very funny, slightly edgy, winning new kind of cookbook Jessica Harper–that Jessica Harper, star of Minority Report, Stardust Memories, Love and Death, Pennies from Heaven, and more–is a working mother of two who faces the same problems of every other woman who’s the designated home cook: How do you feed a family of picky eaters when you’re not crazy about being in the kitchen in the first place? A natural-born storyteller and terrifically engaging writer, she does what she’s done all her life–entertain us–while at the same time offering 100 not just easy but really easy-to-make, really tasty recipes. Her stories are filled with charming crabbiness-of cooking early in the day for the two kids who eat only six things, then later for the husband who eats only about eight things, none of which share common ground with those first six; of inviting her mother-in-law for dinner and handing her an apron; of suffering HAS-Hostess Anxiety Syndrome-having the book club over and picking The Good Earth because it matches the neighborhood’s great new Chinese take-out, so no cooking involved! She wants to give a Nobel Prize to the person who invented bagged salad, and she recounts a wonderful story of making homemade turkey pot pie for the very first time-its crust tasted like rosemary-scented Play-Doh-to serve to Richard Gere and Cindy Crawford. But crabby or not, she’s found a way to make it work, and work brilliantly. The Crabby Cook is about how to change your food-i-tude-no more garnish guilt, for example, and why “sort of homemade” is just as good as homemade (ie, knowing when to go all out with Pain-in-the-Ass Minestrone and when to settle for the almost-as-tasty Lazy-Ass Minestrone). It’s how to identify those Miracle Foods-the stuff that everyone loves, like Gobble-It-Up Turkey Chili and Tony’s Rigatoni. And even a whole survival guide-despite her HAS-to entertaining, including drinks, Whore’s Doorves, Dip One and Dip Two, and My Big Fat Greek Platter. |
