I always tell people that being diagnosed with diabetes has not removed my desire for sweets. You see, we diabetics enjoy having "candy", too. Here is a recipe suitable for diabetics to enjoy a dessert or when they want to find a "sweet" snacks. The Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Bar Cookies are tasty and easy. And peanut butter is good for diabetics. your local grocery store should have the sugar, chocolate chips free along side the regulars. I buy Hershey's Sugar-Free Chocolate Chip shop at Wal-Mart.
PEANUT BUTTER BAR COOKIES CHIP CHOCOLATE
1 / 2 cup all-purpose flour
1 / 4 cup whole wheat flour
3 / 4 c. Tea baking soda
pinch of salt
1 cup peanut butter
1 / 3 cup Splenda Brown Sugar Blend
1 egg beaten
1 / 2 cup milk
1 tsp Tea Vanilla
1 / 2 cup unsweetened chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Coat an 8-inch square pan with a nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
On a large sheet of waxed paper combine all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking soda and salt and stir with a fork. In a bowl, combine peanut butter, Splenda Mix brown sugar and eggs and stir vigorously until creamy. Add milk and vanilla. Stir until smooth, add flour mixture and stir and mix well. Add chocolate chips.
Spread batter evenly in prepared baking pan; gentle palpation. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until lightly browned on edges. Do not overcook, or your bars will be too dry. Remove from oven and cool 10 to 15 minutes before cutting into bars.

There seems to be two kinds of children in this world: the picky eaters and eat-anythings. This page contains many ideas for you if you want to adapt to meet your child needs.
Other parents are going through the same dilemma with their children than 3-year-old, so you're not alone. Some young parents do not eat peanut butter and jelly sandwich or any other, and this can really make a loss. However, their children might like something else, such as those lunchable, which are rather expensive. If this happens, you may be one of yours. Simply purchase ham sausage and cut into squares. Your child would probably prefer the cheese slices individually wrapped, so try to put two of those with some crackers, a pickle and an apple into slices or cereal / fruit bar. This seems to be the case and you might be surprised if it does not cease Never the same meal.
Here are some ideas for your toddler lunch:
* Core one apple and Stuff the inside with peanut butter. Top with raisins, walnuts, sunflower seeds or toasted coconut. Filling keep the apple Cut them from turning brown.

The crock pot is perhaps one of the most valuable but underestimated around small kitchen appliances. Not only can you jump into a pile of ingredients cooking while you go about your daily tasks, but the meal is bursting with flavor that took hours to simmer. Most people tend to wait the weather takes a turn for the cold season before digging the pot "pot" on the back of cabinet, but the versatility and convenience of slow cooker offers makes it a formidable tool cooking round year!
This article is the first in a series featuring some of my favorite crockpot recipes. I hope you enjoy them and continue reading the series!
BBQ Pork Sandwiches
Ingredients:
1 (14 oz) beef broth
3 pounds boneless pork chops
1 (18 oz) bottle barbecue sauce
Burger buns or rolls (makes about 12 sandwiches)
Directions:
Pour broth in the pan, then add pork chops. Set the oven at high heat, cover and cook for four hours (or until meat shreds easily with a fork). Remove meat from cooker and shred. Transfer the shredded meat to Dutch oven and add barbecue sauce. Stir well, then bake at 350 degrees F for about half an hour. Spread the pork barbecue on one of the halves of bread, sprinkle a little pepper on it, then cover with remaining bread half.
Taco Soup
Ingredients:
3 whole skinless chicken breasts boned
1 onion, chopped
1 can chili beans
1 can black beans
1 can whole kernel corn, drained
1 (8 oz) sauce tomato
1 (12 oz) bottles or beer
2 cans diced tomatoes with green chilies, undrained
1 package of seasoning tacos
shredded cheddar cheese
sour cream
crushed tortilla chips
Directions:
Mix the chili beans, black beans, corn, beer, onion, tomato sauce and diced tomatoes in slow cooker. Add taco seasoning and mix well. Place chicken breasts on top of mixture and spoon a little of the mixture on top. Set the crockpot on low heat and let cook for five hours. Remove the chicken from the soup and shred with a fork. Return the shredded chicken in the soup and cook for another two hours. Serve with grated , Cheese, sour cream and crushed tortilla chips.
Braised Beef
Ingredients:
5 1 / 2 lb pot roast
2 cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (1 oz) package of soup mix dried onion
1 1 / 4 cups water
Directions:
Add cream of mushroom soup, water, and dry mix onion soup in the crock pot. Add the roast and Pour soup mixture over the roast. Set over high heat and cook for about four hours. If you want a more flavorful roast, cook at low temperature for eight hours. Serve with a ladle of soup mixture and vegetables of your choice.
Chicken and dumplings
Ingredients:
4 skinless, chicken breast halves
2 v. unsalted butter
2 cans condensed cream of chicken soup
1 onion, finely chopped
2 packages refrigerated cookie dough
Directions:
Put the broth, butter, onion and chicken in the casserole. Add water until chicken is covered. Cover the casserole and set to the last heat. Cook for about five hours. Half an hour before serving, place biscuits in the crock pot. Ensure the dough is well cooked before serving.
